Because USA is the hegemony, which allied nations look up to.
I have asked myself the very same question many times over. I guess it is because the US have a ‘monopoly’ on the west world, and Australia just seems to be like Americas follower… which I just hate.
It’s the same for many other countries. Most things revolve around them. They’re the epicentre of business, media and production.
