personally i guess Japan is one due to its economic power, its past history as a great power in military, its culture is stable and unique, it only lacks behind in natural resources and a bit in politics. France is a great power too because it is one of the UN permanent member and it got aircraft carrier and it got history as a great power and a culture. on the other hand, what’s so good about australia? apart from being new, big and have resources, australia doesn’t have a culture, does have much history, a small army and navy, economy is not as sound as france and japan that they are usually more advanced in technology and even in industry such as making products out of resources instead of diggin and selling resources like australia. australia can only be a middle power to my thoughts, if it’s small and not an island, it will be worse than vietnam.

France will never be a world power, because they can’t even fight their own wars. They’re all a bunch of pussies.
You have given an answer to your own question but in reality Australia is the most powerfull nation, it was Australia that won WW2 with some help from the USA. You also add the comment worse that Vietnam this country has been very strong indeed after all they defeated the USA a few years ago.

In Europe the majority of forces were USA. In Europe it was the US with some help from UK and Russia, austraila was insignificant.
As for Japan it was American physics and one Bomber that ended the conflict.
The Ausies. By far. The french drop there weapons. Japan they are some crafty folks just look at WWII.
But by far australia. Why they are some mean highly motivated folks. They get the job done or go down trying.
You idiot, Australia supports South East Asia economicaly and through Defence training. France we largely saved THEM in WW2, not the Americans btw. Japan are strong economicaly, but are also War Criminals, love to see them try to take us now !
Australia has a very fine, highly professional blue water Navy. I know, I performed many joint Naval operations with them in my time in the U.S. Navy. Just because France has an aircraft carrier doesn’t make them formidable in any way, shape or form. The French would still be speaking German if it weren’t for the US, Britain, Russia and the rest of the allied forces in World War II. Japan hasn’t fielded an army or navy since getting their butts kicked up to their eyeballs in World War II (even though they are starting to rebuild both again). Of the three, Australia wins hands down (no contest).
Real Domestic Product Per capita: taking into account the population size of the economy – Australia and Japan’s economy is about the same and both are better than France’s.
Japan was never a great military power… it lost every war it launched on a foreign power (USA, America, China, Korea), and it isn’t allowed a defence force in its Constitution coz no-one wants another ww2. France has been rolled over without a fight twice in the last 100years. Australia has one of the most respected defence forces in the world, it may not be big but it is very well trained. The Spirit of the Digger is still strong.
